How Do I select Course and Language?

When you start your course bundle, you may need to select a course and/or language from the dropdown menu at the top of the page.

You may take the courses in any order desired. You will be awarded a certificate for each course that you successfully complete. 

How Does the National Food Manager Course Work?

Once you have completed the National Food Protection Manager course (not the Texas Certified Food Manager), you are ready to take the exam. This exam will have a Remote Proctor, meaning that you will need a computer or tablet with a camera and audio, which allows a remote live proctor to observe you while you take the exam.

In order to take your certification exam, you must have a system that meets the requirements and a valid ID. Watch the video to see all the rules that our proctoring partner, Integrity Advocate, enforces to ensure the exam is taken securely. 

Once you’ve set up your exam area and the Integrity Advocate proctor has approved, you may begin the exam. You must score a passing grade of 75% to receive your Food Manager Certification.

Your certification will become available in your account within 1-2 business days after passing the exam.

Can I take the course and Exams on my Smartphone?

Yes. You are able to complete any of the courses on a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. 

The Food Handler exam and the Texas Certified Food Manager exam may also be take on any of those devices. 

For the National Food Protection Manager exam, which includes a live remote proctor, we strongly recommend using a computer or a tablet, which must be equipped with a camera and audio. 

How Long Does It Take to Complete each Course?

Most users complete Food Handlers course in under two hours and the exam in less than an hour.

The Food Manager course takes about four hours to complete and you have up to two hours to complete the exam.

When Do I Get My Certificate? 

The Food Handlers certification and Texas Certified Food Manager certificate are available for you to download immediately after you pass the final exam.

The National Food Protection Manager certificate is available after one business day.
